Instructional Programs

Since 2009, the Foundation has funded over $1,000,000 of programs selected by Morningside’s academic team that directly enhance the learning environment for your children. None of these special programs and curriculum enrichments would be possible without the support of you, the parents and supporters of Morningside Elementary.

Sample Teacher Training Support

Orton Gillingham – a cutting-edge instructional method being deployed by the best private schools in Atlanta and across the country. Orton-Gillingham is an instructional approach intended primarily for use with persons who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing of the sort associated with dyslexia. In the hands of a well-trained and experienced instructor, it is a powerful tool of exceptional breadth, depth, and flexibility. Due to the investment of time and money required, the Orton-Gillingham approach has traditionally been out of reach of public education. The Morningside faculty has the tools to reach every child, regardless of ability or challenge.
